What really worries me is so many Teens consider suicide to deal with their problems. If you even entertain such a notion then you are also dealing with a severe form of depression, which was most likely brought on by so kind of tramma that you suffered, or you have a chemical imbalence. Either way you need to tell someone! Because these thoughts might not be in your control and being caused by a low chemical in your brain called seratonin and not what you truly want! Although you think this is what you want, I don't think it is. Most people who think of "ending it all" as a soltion, they are not thinking with their right mind, hey, listen, I don't mean for that to sound like I'm being mean here! What I am saying is not thinking in their right mind means they most likely have a low seratonin level and it is not something that will fix itself or just go away, what you a feeling and thinking is coming from a bigger problem then what you think.

IF YOU ARE HAVING THESE THOUGHTS IT'S NOT WHAT YOU REALLY WANT YOU ONLY THINK YOU DO! SO PLEASE TALK TO ME, OR SOMEONE YOU TRUST!

The reason you feel this way can be treated with medication, it will help the low chemicals in your brain level off or bring them in to balence. There are different forms of depression some mild, some severe. There is also a type of depression that effects women after they have a baby. My point here is depression is something that you can't help, it's not something that you can control on your own it has to be treated with medication.

Depression is different then jusy feeling blue, you can feel "depressed" after a boyfriend breaks up with you, or someone you love dies but thats really not depression it's just a term that is used, that tends to fix itself after some time. Now, if the sadness, or the blue feelings don't go away after about 2 weeks or so, then it might be more and should be checked out by a Doctor. There is nothing to feel ashamed about don't be afraid to ask for help, or tell someone you trust that you feel like your "blues" are more then just the "blues". If you are having suicidal thoughts that is coming from the most severe type of depression and should not be ignored. Depression has no single cause; often, it results from a combination of things.

Whatever its cause, depression is not just a state of mind or like I said feeling "blue". It is related to physical changes in the brain, and connected to an imbalance of a type of chemical that carries signals in your brain and nerves. These chemicals are called neurotransmitters. Such as Seritonin

Some of the more common factors involved in depression are:

Family's Medical History

depression can be hereditary. See if it runs in your Family
it could run in every generation or skip a few, but chances
are someone in your Family has sufferede with it.

Trauma and stressful situations

Things like financial problems, the breakup of a relationship,
or the death of a loved one, sexual, physical, or emotional
abuse can trigger depression. You can become depressed
after changes in your life, or serious tramatic event.

A low self esteem, Stress and Worrying

People who have low self-esteem and a negative outlook,
if you are constantly worrying, stressed, and have anxiety

to how your self esteem can effect your life in so many ways!

Other psychological disorders.

Anxiety disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, and
(especially) substance abuse often appear along with depression.
These are all things you should look at, if any ofthese fit you
